"Yet another
"Wow""
This is the third villa that we have rented from Carina
& Jesper. It again has the most amazing views and
is situated up in the hills from Los Romanes. We were
a group consisting of 2 grandparents, 2 daughters
and son-in-laws and 3 grandchildren. Every thing that
you would need is at the villa, lots of space to spread
around and welcome shaded areas. The road to the villa
has 2 hairpin bends and deep drops off the sides...but
no real problem with careful driving! The views of
Lake Vinuela as you drive down to the beaches are
wonderful._This is really a lovely area of Spain and
the cost of living is so reasonable, eating out at
the village restaurants is so good and cheap!_Many
thanks to our hosts...Carina & Jesper...see you next
year.

"Can't
fault this exclusive offering epic full hideaway absolutely
idilic"
Am
writing this sitting watching the sun go down on a
beautiful Moroccan inspired terrace.
The only
sound is from the birds on the hillside. Spotlessly
clean and wonderfully styled it is far better than
the photos would have you believe. The property has
all you could want all mod cons dishwasher microwave
wireless internet etc etc. large selection of DVDs
if you can tear yourself away from the views ....the
pool is as inviting as it looks and its all ours non
of the usual hotel throng! You will need a car to
get here but we can't fault the experience. Excellent
value for money recommended for anyone who wants to
get away from it all FABULOUS. 06/06/2014 If you have
booked this your in for a treat!

"Beautiful
house, full of character and attention to detail that
made for a very relaxing stay"
After a delayed flight and long
journey, with our three tired children, we were met
by Carina in the early hours and shown to the house.
Up a steep mountain lane in the dark the loveliest
house awaited us and made the waiting around for hours
and hours at the airport all worth it.
This
house had everything we needed and more. A fully functional
kitchen, equipped with everything you could possibly
need, comfortable beds, clean and uniquely decorated
bathrooms, air-con for a good nights sleep, the all
important wifi (for the teenage boys to continue to
function), a good sized swimming pool and the most
amazing setting with views across the mountains you
could never tire from.
But it was the attention
to detail and little touches that really made this
house special: candles, tea-lights and lanterns to
light in the evenings, beach towels provided so we
didn't have to fill our cases with them , beautiful
soft furnishings to make things so comfortable, napkins,
soap, washing-up liquid, even cotton buds!! Small
thoughtful things that made a such difference.
We
spent our days lazing by the pool (whilst the kids
never got out of it) and then either having a bar-b
Que or eating at one of the excellent restaurants
in the area.
We also benefited from our teenage
boys having their own self-contained part of the house
downstairs where they could lay-in undisturbed and
stay up, late not disturbing us!
There was also
enough room for my mother to come out and join us
for a week.
All in all we had the most relaxing,
comfortable and enjoyable time at this property and
will certainly be going back.

"Beautiful
idyllic villa"
When you first follow Carina
up the winding narrow mountain roads- it's quite an
experience!! But what awaits is an absolute delight.
A quaint and beautiful farmhouse with stunning mountain
views. Very clean and well stocked with everything
that you need, including wifi & a DVD player.
Plenty of tea lights for sitting out at night under
the stars!
We arrived quite late on a Sunday
evening & Carina had taken the trouble to stock
the fridge with a few essentials for breakfast; bread,
local cheese & ham, yogurts and even a bottle
a bottle of fizz which was a nice touch. The kitchen
was so well stocked to cook you needn't worry about
dining out all the time. Carina even left us some
local spices.
There are some excellent local
restaurants nearby though which Carina left us cards
for. Shops; You can get a few essentials at Los Romanes
co-op but there is a Eroski hypermarket at the Velez-Malaga
junction for the big shop which is better.
We
would definitely stay here again. If you want a relaxing
chilled out & peaceful holiday where you don't
need to see another soul! This is the place for you.

"Rustic
Gem under the stars."
Our party consisted of My wife myself our
late teenage kids and one of their friends.
We
stayed at Casa Pena Hierro for one week, before moving
on to one of Carlas' other properties in the area.
The
drive to the villa was typical of the road to a secluded
villa in the hills of interior Spain, the last few
hundred meters being single track mostly unpaved,
with spectacular views.
We had booked the optional
1 bedroom apartment, which was ideal for the boys
as it gave them their "own space".
The
Villa itself was very well equipped, the kitchen area
had everything needed for a home from home experience
. The beds were very comfortable, and the
air con made for a cool nights sleep.
Our
days were rounded off with a meal under the stars
on the candle lit patio at the front of the house.
We
had a wonderful time at Casa Pena Hierro and would
have no hesitation in staying there again
